The Travel Shrines are making their way out into the world! It’s great to see how the Shriners are having fun with their Shrines while traveling. Here are a few reports from the field:
My sister Evanna called from the airport, on her way to Dublin for a pub tour. She was in the bar with her husband who wanted to catch the game. Evanna amused herself with her posse, forming them into various yoga poses. (Did you know your posse of worry dolls was so flexible?) Are we psyched to hear stories of her Shrine making its way through the pubs of Ireland?
Later that night, I got another call from a different airport. Alyson was calling to tell me that we need to add the “No screaming baby seating” juju into the magic of the Shrines. Yes! As the Shrines go out into the world, we’re going to discover a lot of new reasons we need the good Journey Juju!
Then there’s the power of the Shrines to call good travel into your life. Here’s a report from Mary Ellen in Albuquerque:
“When I purchased Magical Travel Shrine #7, I had no specific travel plans. Subsequently I booked a number of short trips and credit Journey Juju for the impetus. Each of these opportunities occurred within a few days of receiving my shrine.
Call me crazy, but I expect my magic carpet will ensure a smooth ride and seamless connections when I go to Maryville, Missouri at the end of this month. (The stories of travelers stranded this week faze me not.) From the blessing envelope I drew, “Your journey is safe and joyous.” In that spirit, I’ve scheduled lunch with old friends and time with family. For the first time in several years, I’m flying into MCI instead of planning the 900 mile road trip with my husband.
Just a few weeks later a road trip to Montrose puts me in one of Colorado’s magnificent natural spaces with attractions like hiking, biking and sightseeing in the nearby Uncompahgre National Forest, Red Mountain Pass and Black Canyon National Park (Colorado’s own Grand Canyon). Not surprisingly, the journey blessing I drew was in sync with the trip: “Prepare to be dazzled by the wonders of the world.”
I’m prepared. These mini vacations work perfectly to add perspective and dimension to my life. I look forward to the additional treats Magical Shrine #7 will bring my way during the rest of 2008.”
And last, here’s magic Travel Shrine #27, owned by Jamie Austad, making it’s way across the country back to Jamie’s home in Seattle. Jamie has been a client of mine for years and I’ve never met her in person, until yesterday. She’s crossing the country with her dogs and picked up a couple of Shrines to make the journey more fun. Jamie calls this Journey Juju picnic (taken on her iPhone):
Only one more day to get the bonus of the Creative Travel Toolkit when you buy a Shrine! Bonus deal ends April 16th.
